Purpose:
This policy establishes the option for DSCC to award students selected for participation in the Dyersburg State Community College Honors Program an out-of-state tuition waiver scholarship consistent with TBR Policy 3:05:01:00.
Scope:
This policy applies to DSCC students selected for participation in the Honors Program and are selected to receive an out-of-state tuition scholarship.
Policy:
Out-of-state students who are awarded tuition waiver scholarships for participation in the Honors Program according to established guidelines shall not be required to pay out-of-state tuition. To become a member of the Honors Program, interested students must complete an Application for the Honors Program and be accepted into the Program. An incoming freshman must have a minimum ACT composite score of 26 and a minimum high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.5. An existing student must have a minimum GPA of 3.5. To remain in the program, a student must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5.
