03:04:07:00 Administering Tests and Examinations

Purpose:

The purpose of this policy is to designate responsibility for administering tests and examinations to the faculty member assigned to a particular course.

Scope:

This policy applies to all Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) full-time and adjunct faculty members.

Policy:

Faculty members are responsible for assessing student learning. In cases where an emergency prevents a faculty member from giving an examination, the Division Dean is responsible for providing a suitable proctor. Only under the direction and supervision of an administrator or faculty member may appropriate non-faculty staff members administer quizzes, tests, or final examinations. Caution and security must be maintained in the administration of these tests.Security of test materials is the responsibility of the administrative office professional when producing the tests and reproducing the materials. Security of test materials after they have been reproduced and given to the faculty member is the responsibility of the faculty member.

Compliance:

All full-time and adjunct faculty members must adhere to this policy.
