Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to address the political activity of a Dyersburg State Community College employee.
Scope:
This policy applies to all full-time and part-time regular employees.
Policy:
DSCC employees are not prohibited from active campaign work in a political race as a candidate or in support of a candidate. However, before making political commitments of this nature, an employee must have discussed the situation and implications with the President and his/her appropriate administrator. Any political activity must be reflective of the employee’s private life and feelings and not representative of the institution. No political activity should involve the college or its staff by implication or otherwise.
Compliance:
All full-time and part-time regular employees of Dyersburg State Community College are expected to adhere to this policy.
